The Saint Meinrad Archabbey Library Gallery will be hosting an exhibit of icons through June 23rd, 2015.

An essential element within the architecture of the Eastern Orthodox Church, icons depict a world of saints, biblical narratives, the Virgin and Christ.  This exhibit showcases the work of four contemporary icon painters working in a variety of media, including egg tempera on board enhanced with gold leaf, painting on glass, and acrylic.  The exhibit is free and open to the public. Those wishing to view the exhibit may want to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time.  For even more info, click here or the picture for the Archabbey’s website!
