This year’s 51st Annual Dale Fall Festival in Dale, Indiana, “The Biggest Small
Town Festival In Southern Indiana”, offers non-stop entertainment. Most events are
held at the Dale City Park. It all begins on Sunday September 2, at 7:00 p.m. with
talented young women competing to be Miss 2018 Dale Fall Festival at the $1,000
SCHOLARSHIP QUEEN PAGEANT. The pageant will be held at the Heritage Hills
Auditorium. New this year “WONDER WHEELS BMX STUNT SHOW” will be
performing several shows throughout the festival.

On Thursday night, Sept. 6, come and be entertained by a group of adorable
young boys and girls vying for the Little Miss and Mister title in the LITTLE MISS AND
MISTER contest. It will be held on the center park stage at the Dale City Park, beginning
at 6:30 p.m. The band “HONKY TONK DELUXE” will be playing on the center park
stage from 8:00-10:00 p.m.

On Friday, Sept. 7, the group “BOMAR AND RITTER” will be featured on the
center park stage from 5:00-7:00 p.m. An exciting performance will be on the center park
stage again this year featuring “TERRY LEE & THE ROCKABOOGIE BAND” from
8:00-11:00 p.m, which promises a fun piano-pumpin’ performance of good ol’ rock &
roll! “GUILTY PLEASURE” will be in the beer garden from 8:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. for
the adult crowd.

On Saturday, Sept. 8, kids games will start at 9 a.m., “SILLY SAFARIS LIVE
ANIMAL SHOW” will be on the large basketball court at 11:30 a.m. The band “CW3”
will be performing on the center park stage from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., so come early,
grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the kids activities and music while you’re waiting for the
parade to start. The music will continue with the sounds of marching bands in the BIG
PARADE at 2:00 p.m. (with ‘Daryl and June Lovell’ being honored as the Grand
Marshal of the parade). “2 MILES BACK” will be performing after the parade on the
center park stage from 3:30-7:00 p.m. “EIGHTY-SIXT” band will be in the beer garden
from 4:00-7:00p.m. Back by popular demand, “DIRTY DEEDS AC/DC TRIBUTE
BAND” will close out this year’s musical entertainment in the Beer Garden from 8:00-
11:00 p.m.

Children’s Games And Pet Parade
The Children’s Pet Parade will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
on the large basketball court in the Dale City Park. Pets will be judged in the following
categories, each winner receiving a trophy: Prettiest; Most Unusual; Best Pet Trick; Best
Dressed; and Best of Show. Children’s Games begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8,
directly following the pet parade. There will be a kid

Dale Fall Festival Parade
The huge Dale Fall Festival Parade will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, beginning at
2:00 p.m. The theme for the parade is “Town of Dale, Celebrating 175 Years!”. ‘Daryl &
June Lovell’ will be the Grand Marshals for the parade. This event always draws a large
crowd and is especially appealing to children, who usually end up with mass quantities of
candy handed out by parade participants! Awards will be given in various categories.
Cash prizes will also be awarded to the top three entries in the parade as voted on
by the judges: $250 for first place, $150 for second place, and $100 for third place
overall. New category this year will be the best decorated golf cart! Those wishing to
enter the parade should send their name of entry; type of entry (float, band, horse,

Over $5,000 Worth Of Prizes In Grand Raffle
The Dale Fall Festival will be giving away over $5,000 IN PRIZES at this year’s
51st annual Dale Fall Festival held at the Dale City Park, September 6, 7, & 8. Almost
every business in the Dale and surrounding area has generously donated over 70 prizes
for this “Grand Raffle”. Prizes include a 50” HDTV, hundreds of dollars in Cash and gift
certificates, including one $500 cash prize, several $100 cash prizes, wooden Amishmade
lawn furniture and several other great prizes! Tickets are $1.00 each or six for
$5.00, and may be purchased at the Grand Raffle stand during the festival. The drawing
will be held Saturday, September 8, at 11:00 p.m.. You need not be present to win, but

Betsy Bingo At The Dale Fall Fest
Betsy Bingo, a popular event sponsored by Heritage Hills FFA, returns to the
Dale Fall Festival at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. Numbered squares will be sold in a
confined area awaiting the moment when Betsy the cow “performs”. The owner of the
winning square will win the half pot!

Dale Fall Fest Holds Euchre Tourney
Back by popular demand again this year at the Dale Fall Festival is a Euchre
Tourney. It will begin Thursday, Sept. 6, at 7:00 p.m. in the beer garden. It is open to
anyone, aged 21 and older. To register and for more information contact Kathy Reinke at

beer garden.

Silly Safaris Live Animal Show
The Dale Fall Festival is featuring the Silly Safaris Live Animal Show on
Saturday Sept. 8 at 11:30 am. Silly Safaris is the leading provider of LIVE animal
conservation education in Indiana! The Silly Safaris mission is to create positive human
animal interactions that inspire responsible pet ownership and wild animal conservation.
A Silly Safaris LIVE Animal show is the perfect blend of fact and fun for all ages! Our
shows use a variety of reptiles, mammals, birds and bugs for an experience everyone will
remember. Their funologists keep the entire audience involved and special guests from
the audience join each animal for a game that teaches about the natural world. Teachers
and Families love Silly Safaris, teens enjoy our hip cultural references, and adults try to
catch our comedy! It will be located on the large basketball court.

BMX Stunt Show
The Dale Fall Fest will be hosting a BMX Stunt show at this year’s festival.
Wonder Wheels BMX out of Indianapolis will be performing shows throughout the
festival featuring bicycle back flips, 360-degree stunts and super whips off of ramps.
There will be two shows Friday Sept. 7 at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and three shows

Saturday Sept. 8 at 3:30 pm, 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
David Turnham’s Shining Stars Sponsoring Cake Walk
The David Turnham Educational Center will be sponsoring an old fashion Cake
Walk during the children’s games Saturday, Sept. 8, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Kids and
adults are invited to walk in a circle around numbers painted on the small basketball
court’s blacktop to try to win a cake. Each walk costs 25 cents and helps fund special
programs at the school.

Great Food At The Dale Fall Festival
This year’s Dale Fall Festival, Sept. 6-8, will offer a virtual smorgasbord of food,
enough to satisfy everyone’s tastes and appetites. At the top of the list is the Fall
Festival’s famous grilled pork chop and fried chicken dinners, followed by Gus burgers
(hamburgers), grilled chicken breast sandwiches, pronto pups, bratwurst, Bar-B-Que
sandwiches, french fries, walking tacos, baked potatoes, lemon shake-ups and, for those
who like sweets, elephant ears, soft ice cream, milk shakes, pie by the slice, taffy,
brownies, snow cones, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, caramel apple slices and

Dale Fall Fest Holding “Thirsty Thursday”
Back by popular demand, The Dale Fall Festival is featuring “Thirsty Thursday”
in the beer garden Thursday, Sept. 6 from 6:00 pm until closing. Beer will be $2.00 each.
The Indiana State Law requires everyone to show valid ID to enter the beer garden. For

Dale Fall Festival Queen Pageant
The Dale Fall Festival Queen Pageant will be held at the Heritage Hills High
School Auditorium on Sunday, September 2, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Doors will open at
6:45p.m. Contestants will compete for the title of “2018 Dale Fall Festival Queen” and a
$1,000 scholarship. The contestants are young women 16 to age 21 who are attending, or
have attended, Heritage Hills High School, or to those that have a Dale address (which
includes a portion of Warrick County). They will be judged on the following categories:
theme wear, formal wear, pre-pageant personal interview, photogenic qualities, and onstage
question. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. No advance tickets

Fire Safety Smoke House At Dale Fall Fest
The Carter Fire District members are again sponsoring the Fire Safety Smoke
House at the Dale Fall Festival on September 6, 7, and 8. The house comes complete
with artificial smoke used to simulate an actual house fire. Firemen will teach children
the following: how to exit a house fire safely; how to recognize fire hazards; how to
stop, drop and roll; about the importance of smoke alarms. Bring your children to the
Dale Fall Festival to visit with your local, friendly firemen. It’s a visit that could save

Dale Fall Fest 14th
Annual Golf Scramble
The Heritage Hills Golf Team will be sponsoring the 14th annual Dale Fall
Festival Golf Scramble on Saturday, September 8, at the Christmas Lake Golf Course,
shotgun start at 8 a.m. The entry fee is $55 per person and includes the greens fee, balls,
cart rental, and a ticket for a pork chop or fried chicken dinner at the Dale Fall Festival.

Dale Fall Fest Adult 3 On 3 Basketball Tourney
The Dale Fall Festival will again be sponsoring a 3 on 3 basketball tourney for
adults, aged 16 or older. Team Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and the tourney will begin
at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7 on the large basketball court. Entry fee for the
tournament is $40.00 per team and there is a 12 team limit. Prizes will be awarded to the

Hog Wrestling At The Dale Fall Festival
The Dale Fall Festival will host one of its most popular events, the hog wrestle,
on Saturday, September 8 at 4:00 p.m. It will be held on the lot next to Brown Brothers
Lumber Company. Each year, over 60 4-person teams enjoy a romp in the mud pit with
the hogs! The entry fee is $20.00 for a four member team. Classes for this event are:
girls ages 10 to 15, girls ages 16 and over, boys ages 10 to 15, and boys ages 16 and over.
Trophies will be awarded to the team who can put the hog on the tire in the middle of the
muddy pit the fastest within a timed limit. All entrants must sign a waiver of liability
release. If the entrant is under 18, a parent must sign for them. Entry forms can be
picked up at the Dale Town Hall or at Lincoln Heritage Public Library in Dale and should
be mailed to: Hog Wrestle Committee, Louis Seifert, 18532 N. 450 E., Dale, IN 47523.
There will be a limit of 60 teams this year. No entry forms will be accepted after

Kiddie Tractor Pull Friday
Another event for children will be a kiddie tractor pull sponsored by the FFA
Club of Heritage Hills High School. It will be held on Friday, September 6, at 6 p.m. at
the Dale Fall Fest. The Kiddie Tractor Pull will be on Wallace Street next to the car

WBDC Cornhole Tournament Of Champions At Dale Fall Fest
2018 WBDC Cornhole Tournament of Champions at the Dale Fall Fest, Saturday
Sept. 8. It will be held on the large basketball court. Registration starts at 3pm CST &
throwing at 4pm CST. The Pre-Registration cost is $10 per two-person team. Registration
at the event will be $15. All team members must be at least 18 years of age. Amateur

51st Annual Dale Fall Festival 5K Walk/Run
The Dale Fall Festival will be holding a 5K Walk/Run on the morning of
Saturday, September 8. Registration and check-in begins at 6:00 a.m. CST and the
Walk/Run begins at 7:00 a.m. CST. Starting line will be at the former EMT building.
There will be prizes given to the participants with the winning times in each of the
different age groups along with overall male and female. Refreshments will be available
at the end of the race. Please register by August 24 to guarantee a t-shirt on walk day.
Registration cost is $20 until August 24, or $25 if you register the day of the race. Cost
for ages 6-12 will be $15 and ages 6 and under are free. Forms are available on our
Facebook page under “Dale Fall Fest”, and also at Lincoln Heritage Public Library and

Dale Fall Festival’s Old Fashion Horseshoe Tourney
The Dale Fall Festival will again be sponsoring an old fashion horseshoe tourney on
Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8. It will be held on the Brown Bros.
Lumber Co. lot across from the Dale City Park. Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. with
play beginning at 7:00 p.m. You will need to bring your own partners Friday and partners
will be drawn on Saturday. The entry fee for the tourney is $5.00 per person. For more

Jus A Smokin’Backyard BBQ
The Dale Fall Festival will again be holding the Jus A Smokin’Backyard BBQ on
Saturday September 8. Team Registration and Meat Inspection begins at 6:00 AM CST.
This event will be limited to the first 15 team to submit their entry form. There will be a
$3.00 fee for the People’s Choice Chili tasting competition. Trophies and cash prizes will
be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place team in overall competition, chicken class, pork butt
