Samurai Sessions Vol. 3: Worlds Collide is the final installment in a trilogy of collaborations albums released by MIYAVI, and for the very first time featuring U.S. artists – an unprecedented feat for a Japanese musician. My mission for the next generation is to help evolve the guitar in popular music” says MIYAVI. “With the recording of Samurai Sessions Vol. 3, I felt I could innovate a new sound by bringing Japanese and U.S.-based artists together on one record for the first time. Together, we created a fusion that represents the future of music to break barriers and bring cultures together. With the Internet, music has a global audience and now we are seeing the results of our musical worlds colliding.”

The first track supplied to U.S. radio titled “Me and the Moonlight” is a cinematic pop ballad sung by Yuna.

“When Miyavi reached out to me to do a song together I was so excited and kind of nervous because I’m a fan of his artistry,” recalls Yuna. “He has a unique sound so I was curious to see what we can do together! I’m so happy to have a song with him, it’s an exciting moment for us and our fans.”
