The Prince Estate, in partnership with Warner Bros. Records, released “17 Days,” the 2nd digital single off the upcoming Piano & A Microphone 1983 album, which will be released on September 21.

“17 Days” was released in May 1985 as the flip-side to “When Doves Cry,” the first single from the multimillion selling phenomenon Purple Rain. Piano & A Microphone 1983 provides a rare, intimate glimpse into Prince’s creative process as he worked through songs like “Purple Rain, a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “A Case Of You, “Strange Relationship (not released until 1987 on his critically acclaimed Sign O’ The Times album), and “International Lover.”

The album also includes a rare recording of the 19th Century spiritual “Mary Don’t You Weep” which is featured during the end credits of Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman which is in theatres now.
